I felt the rain on my skin and it was so refreshing. But then the rain turned to hail and the hail turned to sleet. I was getting pelted with icy pellets and I was cold. I started to run for shelter, but I slipped and fell. I lay there for a moment, feeling the cold rain on my face, before I finally got up and ran to find shelter.

I remember that night so clearly. I had never felt so alone. The rain was coming down so hard, it felt like it was trying to sweep the whole world away. I could see the water rising up around me, and I knew that if I didn find a new shelter I would be drowned. I tried to stay calm, but it was hard. I had never been so afraid.

The night seemed to last forever. I huddled under a tree, trying to stay dry, but eventually I gave up and just sat in the rain, feeling the cold water soak through my clothes and into my skin. I felt numb and
